I live at N End and Murray. I am looking for something different. Any suggestions? Anywhere south of 14th street.

Capsuto Freres on Washington and Watts - lovely place with good food and the nicest waitstaff. It's a very comfortable restaurant. Save room for dessert. (They serve wonderful holiday meals, too)

Very good Portuguese food at Pao at Spring and Greenwich - they used to have a shrimp lemon bread pudding, but it was off the menu the last time I was there. Great codfish cakes. Very pleasant staff.

(Check out the Ear Inn around the corner)

I guess I don't have to recommend Custard Beach to you. Creme Brulee ice cream - heaven.

I do not live there, so I am not familiar with your location, but there is a great little place just over the Brooklyn bridge called Henry's. It just so happens it is on Henry street. It is very near the bridge itself. I never make a trip there without going there.

The price is reasonable and the food is excellent! The breast of duck with the raspberry glaze is awesome. They have many other items on the menu that are worthy as well. Enjoy!

I'm not familiar with New York at all, but I was watching Food Network one night and they did a story on a place called MOD. They have all kinds of desserts and drinks that taste like some desserts. I want to check it out if I ever get the chance to visit there.
