How can I download another copy? I've been to Windows update for the SP2 pack, but I still don't have WMM. Update isn't downloading it, and I've tried multiple other links/downloads, but to no avail. My recycle bin was also emptied before I knew it happened. How can I get it back??? Remember, I've already been to Windows update, and I also already tried the win directory backup...

Did you actual delete it or just delete the link to it?
If you deleted the link, then create a new one. The target path is:
"C:\Program Files\Movie Maker\moviemk.exe"
If you did in fact delete it, (you might need your windows cd but) you can reinstall it by going to:
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/updates/moviemaker2.mspx

you could flow software information from my pc and click disk C and search for movie maker click the folder and open it... contained in the contents of the folder the icon is there precise click on it and do make shortcut. if the folder isn't there you're screwed

Do you have XP where you can do the system restore and you can go back to an earlier time when you have the movie maker?
