Sometimes, I have a lot of trouble remmebering things, even small things. I remember hardly anything from before the age of 10 (I remember a few things, like where I lived, major events, etc.) and have trouble remembering things now, too. If someone tells me something (ex. where they are going, what they are doing Friday, etc), I forget it even minutes later. I also forget silly things, like in the shower I won't remember whether I have washed my hair already and have to wash it again, or maybe I didn't wash it the first time?! It's very annoying. I also have troubles with periods of times, like something that happened 2 days ago, I might describe as happening a week ago..

Sorry I wrote so much, but I was starting to get concerned. There is more to it, but I don't have the room and I am sure it's not an enjoyable read.. So, does anyone know if it possible for someone young to have this kind of problem? Is it normal? Thanks!

Just for any future answerers, I have never done drugs. My mom has suggested that maybe it's due to poor nutrition, because I don't eat meat and only get a little protein daily and have low iron levels. But I have no idea..

Thank.

Hmm short term memory problems, I think a lot of people have them.
Sometimes things seem so routine that we forget actually doing them such as washing our hair.
A possibility could be attention deficit disorder. I say this cause I have it and alot of what you are saying sounds like me.

Okay baby girl... I am a mom and going to talk to you like a mom.. Sorry.. lol
But if you where my daughter.. I would take you immediately to see the doctor.. Your mind and memory and every part of you is a precious and a gift from God.. Take care of what you have and seek medical advise..

Without putting fear.. you may have some area of your brain that needs medical attention.

It can be common.. but it does not hurt to have yourself checked out! Your health is the most important thing!

Please make sure you do this asap!.. At least rule out the dangers.. then take it from there.

God Bless you.. and I will pray for you for sure!

hey i started having these same problems you're describing when i was anorexic...i was not eating meat....or anything, and my brain was really going, i felt so tired and confused all the time so my advice would be to check up on your nutrition and take your mom's advice. sorry...apologies i assume you have eating issues by your avatar name...if i am wrong, i really am sorry but getting enough calories and being at a normal bmi is super important.. now my bmi is 17.8 from 15.1 and i know i need to gain a few more but it is HARD, but i willl succeed because how am i going to go for my dreams and finish my excellent education if my brain isn't functioning as it should? do yourself a favor and feed yourself well--you'll thank yourself in the end...i promise...god bless

Hm I doubt its serious .. juss a funny quirk of yours. I also don't eat meat & forget stuff alot .. forgetting if I washed my hair or not in the shower happens so much. Conditioner adds to the confusion!

It can happen.

Some people have better memories than others, and almost everyone forgets something once in a while.

Try taking vitamins, and believe it or not, start exercising. If that doesn't improve things for you, see a doctor about your symptoms.

Good luck!

age isn't the factor so don't you worry.
chemical and mental problems create chaos in our minds.
maybe once you get busy doing things that are good for you physically and mentally your brain cell will produce at a faster rate and YOU will feel more confident with your new self ! God bless

Were you ever abused as a child? Becasue if you were you may have developed the ability to dissociate, and that could explain the memory loss

Hun, I'm 13 and I have memory problems. When we had our double period of Language Arts class today, a girl in my class wasa finishing her story outloud, and the bell rang in the middle of her story, yet she kept reading. Then we took a 5 minute break. We were about to have another person read their story, and I said to the girl who JUST read her story, "Hey, did you go yet?"
