DO NOT TAKE ACCUTANE UNLESS YOU'VE HAVE SEVERE ACNE OR YOU'VE TRIED OTHER PERSCRIPTION MEDICINES. JUST GETTING THAT OUT THERE!

But as to YOUR acne... here ya go:

If you have MILD ACNE (a few zits clumped together), I suggest a benzoil peroxide cream (either 2.5% or 5%, NOT 10%). Creams that I reccomend that fit this description are: Proactiv, Mary Kay acne treatment, or neutrogena spot treatment. Apply this cream to your acne every morning and night, and you should start to see improvemnt.

If you have MODERATE ACNE (a fair amount of acne... enough to make you pretty embarassed), I suggest the following. Ask a doctor or dermatoligest about Retin-A. Retin-A peels off layers of your skin, first making your acne worse, then making it better. If Retin-A doesn't work, try an oral tablet called Adoxa.

If you have SEVERE ACNE (your acne is big and red and covers virtually your entire face), try the treatments first for MODERATE ACNE. If those both fail to work, as your doctor about the possibility of an extremely intense oral tablet called Accutane. Accutane is extremely powerful and the side effects can include: hair thinning and severe depression. I DO NOT RECCOMEND ACCUTANE UNLESS YOUR ACNE IS VERY SEVERE!

I hope this helps! I know what you're going through! Good luck~!

There are countless treatments available. Antibiotices and topical solutions help for mild acne. If you have severe acne and are willing to deal with potential serious and uncomfortable side effects, Accutane is a miracle drug. It is dangerous and not to be taken without serious thought. I had the worst acne my dermatologist had ever seen. He was apprehensive to prescribe Acctane. After getting on it my acne was TOTally gone in a few weeks. I did have severe joint pain and dry skin. 15 years later, the joint pain persists. I have not been able to find out for sure if the two are related, but it sure seens that they might me. Good luck! And remember, no matter how bad your acne seems to look to you, others truly do not see it like you do.

if you have severe acne like cystic acne. you need to see a dermatologist to prescribe you medicine like minocycline. when you get those medicines you need to take 1 or 2 daily with meals. drink lots of water. alot of this bad acne is due to your digestion. all my life i have suffered with cystic acne. i used to cry because not only did the acne hurt it made me feel ugly. i found a good regimen though. i follow it and it has really improved my complexion.the regimen goes as follows:
1. take minocycline for about 1 month or more depending on severity of acne.
2. use the 3 pc proactive solution at night only . (the mask every other day)
3. wear the proactive solution oil free moisturizer daliy (even if you are a guy)
4. wash hair with panthene shampoo (anti-dandruff) with zinc
5. wash your face in shower with dove soap (pink bar ) use a sponge.
6. in the evening after school or work wash face with dove cloth (sensitive skin or green tea) add dove soap (pink bar) follow with the 3 pc proactiv solution.

i guarantee this 100% because of personal experience. you should see me now baby!!!!!

oh yeah. don't use any medicines from the local stores. they do not work.

Vitamin A and Vitamin D in a 10:1 ratio (i.e. 4000/400) will help clear the skin. Vitamin E (at least 1000 mg per day) will help prevent scarring and also Vitamin E applied to the skin will help clear up any scarring you may have already.

Lots of fresh fruit and vegetables and stay away from fatty food - especially trans-fat (cooking oils and fats modified so they last longer - e.g. KFC, McDonalds, Wendy's etc.)

My Grandfather had a farm when I was a kid and a gentleman came to the farm with his teenage girl who had Acne bad. Now this is gross but it worked. They caught warm cow pee and she washed her face with it. They did this 3 times a week and in two weeks it cleared up and she did not look like the same girl. I don't know if you want to give it a try but it was an old remedy

If u really want to get good results for acne. You should visit a dermatologist and ask him/her for a drug called Accutane!

I am in the process of using this right now. I have used it for about a month and a half and I am already seeing great results!

ProActiv and always remember to not touch your face too often, because that's how a lot of dirt gets in your pores

OK. First of all I tell you this is gross. My mom told me this and I have no idea if it works or not. She said that if you save your first urination of the morning and apply it to the areas it will clear. Like I said, I have no idea if this works, but I figure you've got nothing to lose.
