If you date somebody, you don't necessarily have to have sexual relations with them. Statutory rape is defined as sexual relations with a minor; this age ranges from state to state and region to region, but it's generally around 16-18. Paedophilia is defined as being sexually attracted to prepubescent children - basically, kids who haven't hit puberty. Most girls in the 15-18 range have hit puberty. It's not paedophilia.
Some older guys do like younger girls. Having said that, one should be wary of dating guys much older because they might just be looking for some tail. On the other hand, there are most likely exceptions to this. In any case, as you get older, the perceived age gap gets smaller - when you're 44, most people won't think twice if you have a husband that's 52.

Yes it is a possibility that they do. Nevertheless, anyone under 18 shouldn't be dating anyone 18 or older. It is called statutory rape and they can and will go to jail even if both parties are consenting to the x.

Pedophilia is not only a mental disorder, it's also a crime.
Young girls may be pretty, but you don't like a girl cause she is pretty, you like her because she is available, and YOU should not available to a guy that old, you see?
