Imagine in the future ( not to far ahead though ) some sort of unforseen event causes world communication to be useless ( this could be man made or natural ). The following wars take place without any support being dispatched rapidly, airstrikes not available only basic equipment and rations available.

Canada - Great Britain
China - USA
Russia - USA
Russia - China
Great Britain - China
Russia - Great Britain
Take note all these wars are fought in a urban surrounding. A city or town in a country that both armys are not from. For example USA - Great Britain fought in Moscow.
Who do you think would win and would would win if all were to fight everybody for them selves.
Remember that no fancy equipment is available and only basics are used.

I see alot of people see China as the dominant force but i would have to disagree. In fact my top 2 are GB and USA. This is due to the fact they are fighting in a closed area where fewer numbers have the advantage. Its easier to move around unnoticed and get into better positions. For this reason i would put GB as the overall winner but just. Chinas main advantage is also the main weakness. 1 burts of bullets could kill 100s in a confined place like a city. It would be a different story in the open though, a much different story

Benjamin - Actually you are wrong there. In Britain at least anyway. British soldiers are trained to fight with all the basics just incase the worst happens. Therefore they are ready for any events in theory. It may be similar for other nations but i dont know.

I make my predictions based on the fact that China has the most infantry out of any nation (200 million reserves and counting), then it's probably Russia, US, Great Britain, and then Canada. When you look at it, on the ground, numbers play a huge role.
EDIT: This type of war is hard to win for anyone since soldiers nowdays are trained to rely on machinery more than basic combat skills. There would be massive casualties on all side and theoretically, everyone would be a loser.
lancs lad, that's one of the reasons why I favored nations like Russia and China to win most of the time. They focus more on the fundamentals of war rather than the technological aspect. While Britain does train it soldiers the fundamentals, I'm afraid that their numbers are gonna work against them.

If it was a war betwen China and USA I think china would win. I mean, we have alot of equipment that (obviously) we wouldn't be able to use, and China has a lot of man-power. No matter who wins the war both countries would lose people for whatever reason, meaning lives are usually lost over very, very stupid things like money and land.

without communication, the home team would have the advantage in confrontations involving similar numbers of combatants. China and russa would always win on their own turf, because they have the largest populations.
