My brother asked me to buy a lottery ticket for him - he had to go to work. He wrote the numbers down on a piece of paper. He gave me £5.
I went to the shop, bought milk, paper, drink and cigarettes. I forgot the piece of paper and therefore didn't get the ticket.
HIS NUMBERS CAME UP... 5 NUMBERS AND THE BONUS BALL!! apparently he didn't just choose random numbers, they were significant and he knew them. He has been calling me for 2 days asking me for his ticket... I didn't buy it and I really don't know what to say... I haven't the heart to check how much he would have won.
ADVICE PLEASE!!!!!!

Are you serious? This actually happened to two fellas at my husband's work...for YEARS they had played the same numbers, each alternating and buying the ticket between them. Well the one time the one guy forgot to buy it the numbers came up. They have never forgotten it or lived it down.
For the rest of your life he will never forget you cost him every man's dream.
I don't know how you would live that down.
By the way, I don't believe you. If it were true your brother would have told the world and have broken your door down to get that ticket.

If this is true (which I doubt) then you have no choice but to come clean, you can't avoid him forever.
Or did you buy the ticket and keep the winnings? I wouldn't buy anything new for a while if I were you.

Leave the country and change your name. Dye your hair, if you have any and grow a beard. If your female have a sex change. Dont ever buy milk, paper, drink or fags again and you won`t be reminded of such a costly mistake.

If you dont want to tell him the truth and you dont want to leave the area then you could try going to the bank and asking for a loan of £113,334 to pay him back what he won.....Good luck

If you get on well with your brother, tell him. If not... move town! Incidentally, the payout for last wednesday (5+bonus ball) was £113,334.

wow. you are in some deep deep trouble. you just cost him his whole life. He would have been able to enjoy no labor but you just ruined that because of your blasted milk and ciggarettes. wow! only thing to do is tell him.

could always tell him you got mugged and you didn't know how to tell him
