THE COMMONEST CAUSE IS PRESSURE ON THE LATERAL POPLITEAL NERVE.
This happens 1. you have sat crossing one leg on top of the other compressing the outside upper part of the outside aspect of the knee joint.2. you have laid down and probable fell asleep on your side. This will compressed the nerve .3.you have sat down on a sofa with the foof crossed and on the side and under the other one.
The tingling is usually on top of the foot near the first and second toes.
The inability to control the foot is called a 'drop foot'.
To ease off the double little dillema you need to massage the outside of the knee quite hard.
PS. it more commonly happens in thin or slim individuals ie. they have less fat padding.

It's a circulation problem, that can happen in any of your extremities, some how the flow of blood is cut off. Probably because of the position of your foot. Changing the position of the extremity that suffers the problem lets the blood flow return and gives the pins and needles sensation.

Yes its the worse feeling ever, not pain but not nice either, remember i got it once and my mate grabbed the foot and squeezed it! I would have run after her if i couldve stood up! Best thing is not to sit on it for too long and keep wiggling the toes.

Move your foot around alot, that will get the blood flowing again. Should wake it up a little quicker.
Well then maybe you are paralyzed or something, lol. It works for me!

Yeah, I hate that feeling. It's like a cross between being stabbed with pins and being tickled at the same time, it's horrible!

don't sit with your legs crossed or one leg tucked under your bum, when the thought hits you, give your toes a wiggle, play the piano with them in your mind.
Stop watching tv and get yourself doing what women shold be full time concerned with. Bent over a dolly tub or peeling spuds.
