I just broke up with my girlfriend and now I'm single. The only problem is that it seems most single girls my age have kids. I know they said teen preganancy has risen but damn. I'm only 19 and I have learned my lesson from my ex and I will never date a girl with a kid again.

Don't get it twisted. Having kids is not the problem. I don't mind having kids one day, maybe after I graduate from college. My biggest problem is all the drama involved.

Well during your teen years you like to go out and have sex right?
So do girls. They use it more for attraction than guys do but they do it also. Problem is...for girls....there is a lot more at stake. They get pregnant. They didn't do anything that the guy didn't be they got caught.
Piece of advise. If at 19 you can't handle children do not get married until you are mature enough to do so. If you do....you will have children....but they will be your responsibility then and you must meet it.
May by 30 you will see things differently.

Girls your age with kids who are single often have a large amount of pain associated with that. The area you live in will have a large impact on how many women your age have children. Just because you have a poor experience with a woman with a child, doesn't mean you need to swear off all women with children. Many young mothers will make very good partners. If you're finding them by clubbing or in bars, you may be looking in the wrong place. Don't close your mind to any group because of one bad experience. Good luck!

When I was 19 I didn't have any children and i'm 27 now and I still don't. I do want children but the timing isn't right just yet. There are PLENTY of single, elligible females out there who don't have children and have their heads on straight with no kids. Keep looking....

looking in the wrong places, there are plenty of girls that dont have children. I would not let ONE bad experience at the age of 19, stop you from having a relationship with a single mum.

I am 22, and I have two kids. I have to say that not ALL girls with kids are the same. I dunno where you live, but where I am, not all of the girls my age have kids, I am like the only one. It is tough to date someone with kids that are not yours, no matter what the situation, but I can say first hand nothing hurts a girls feelings more than saying you won't date her b/c she has kid(s). If you find a girl that you like, and she has a kid, if you really like her, it shouldn't matter. Give people chances to prove they are not like your ex. I was turned down many times by guys who really did like me, just because I had a kid, and it sucked

The good news is, you're wrong if that makes you feel better. Statistically, you're wrong! You are just looking in the wrong areas. Try joining a club of some sort. Avoid nightclubs and pubs. I bet you do find your dream partner because you seem to want to do something about it at a good age!

I only knew a few girls that had kids at 19. I am 24 now and it seems like every one has a kid or is pregnant. But not me. :)

I had two children by the age of 19.
They are lovely adults now. well adjusted and successful!
(And I'm a young grandma now!)
If I had waited , I wouldn't have had any children at all.
As i couldn't have children later on!
So if you want children my advise is to have them when you are fertile and not when your in your late 20's and infertile!
