I know why my Dad and my step mother divorced. My little half sister who is now 18 wants to know after 14 years of their seperation. I want to tell her what I know and why they divorced but then I don't want her to be mad at either one of them especially the one she is living with. I lived with her when she was 4 and I know why and she wants answers from someone and neither parent is discussing it with her.

If your parents aren't comfortable discussing it, I'd let it lie!!! They might resent you telling your sister something they consider to be no one's business but theirs. However, you might talk to them and tell them she wants to know and that you aren't sure how to handle it. Ask what they want you do to and follow their wishes.

I would think if the answer wouldn't be hurtful to her or turn her against either parent that you could tell her. If it might change her feelings about them you could simply tell her you don't really know. The actually reason isn't anyones business other than between the two who divorced.
