I started out as a hospital volunteer when I was 14 as well. You might want to check with your local hospital to start. Here's a link to their volunteer office:

http://www.bhcpns.org/BHC/Volunteer.aspx

Back when I was working at the hospital, the duties included delivering flowers, newspapers, and other things to patient floors, working with admissions and discharges, general office work, and reception work. In the summer programs, many of the other areas of the hospital also started using volunteers. These areas included media services, printing services, administration, laboratory, pharmacy, and food services.

It's not necessary to limit your volunteer service strictly to hospital work. You might consider some of the other outreach services that you can provide as a volunteer. Check with your local volunteer center or United Way to get some additional ideas:

These agencies can also provide some additional ideas for agencies that may be applicable to your interests and career goals. Such non-profit agencies might include working with child development centers, children's shelters, speech therapy, outpatient treatment organizations, etc.

Good luck!

Young women who volunteered at hospitals used to be known as "candy-stripers" for the red & white uniforms they used to wear.

Try the links below to get an idea of what you'll be doing and where you can volunteer. The last link requires a zip code to find a hospital in your area.

What makes you imagine that is something better than a dream? It has the traits of a dream--a particularly disjointed narrative happening at the same time as you've been asleep. this does not be seen a flying saucers sighting. UFOs are unidentified flying products. You did not see something flying, stated or not, so what about it can make it a flying saucers sighting. i imagine what you recommend is replaced into this an journey concerning extraterrestrials. once again, it in high-quality condition all the traits of a dream, so... My vote? "only a dream"
