It doesn't. What you see are the skins. Our body can definitely digest the inside (endosperm) of the kernels. If you want to verify this, pick a few up from your poop and check if they're hollow. They are.

Get a clue.When u put corn in your mouth u don't chew all of it..See how simple that is..So what goes in whole comes out whole.WALLA..

you need to chew it up . if the skin is not chewed well it will fill up with gunk as it passes through you system and look like it is still whole
