The only quote that comes to mind is the one that says something like "It is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than it is for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaver", but that may be a new testament quote.

I believe in the old testament David and Solomon were both wealthy but good men. David was Solomon's father. They were kings, but were probably two who used their money for good purposes, but I don't know any details that could help you.

Well God has alot to say about the "Rich" and how they basically dont have time for God because they have everything they could ever want , so they have no use for God basically is what I've gotten out of all of his scriptures about the Rich.. And when you think about it, if you have everything you could ever want or need, you really wouldn't have Jesus in your heart, so you'd think they'd be miserable!! But I guess money, will also buy them happiness in one way or another!! But not TRUE happiness within their souls, and they cant take all of their treasures to heaven with them you know......... Sad, but true!!!!

The wealth and riches that God provided the Isralites after their flight to Canaan was built in as part of the promise of their not wanting for anything. But their obedience was farmost superior to anything else. God made the promise to Abraham and all his kin. God wants us to love and honor and cherish him. Recognize that HE is first our source and that he provides us jobs as a 're'source. We are to give a tenth of our earnings and offerings in order that the church and its people have their needs met. As a people, we have become greedy and want and want and put God last instead of first. We live outside our means and therefore have allowed satan to control our monies. As a result, we are in dept to the world instead of being prosperous and able to be generous to bless others. The world's gold has been stored up for the saints of God. He does not want us to put anything before him. He has given us all these things to help us - but not to have them overrule us and our mindset.
