I had stitches after my 1st. child. I resumed sex after 4 weeks. It's mainly up to you to decide. If it hurts, stop. Listen to your body, if you have no pain, your body is healed enough. You might try using some personal lubricant, and trying different positions to see which one eases the pain on your scar.
P.S. Use some form of birth control, even if you are breastfeeding, because you can get pregnant.

I have had two children and both times...we never made it to the six week mark...with no ill effect..and I had stitches both times ... I know that some people do not always wait...I have known of people who have went back for their six week checkup and ended up being pregnant again-which isn't good-....so, if you do decide to try..bare this in mind...and if there is any pain of anykind..quit...and hold off awhile longer........you can always call you doctor and ask about this.......

It's best to wait until you see your doctor especially since you have stitches. Just like when a person has stitches anywhere else they need time to heal. If you do anything now you may rip them out by accident and cause reall damage.

I am guessing it was a vaginal birth. When is doubt, always feel free to call your Dr.'s office. I'm sure thay've already had the question. They may just ask you to wait the 2 weeks, but that may be the standard answer they give everyone. Call the Dr.

My daughter is 3 months old now and I waited until my 6 week checkup just to be on the safe side. It was alittle uncomfortable though so you will want to ask your husband to be gentle until you get back into the swing of things. :) If it is too painful, their are otherways you can pleasure your husband, and other was he can pleasure you without penetration. :)

Wait until your appointment. I had desolving stiches and they didn't disolve until almost the sixth week. Also, it hurts the first few times because it's still very sore down there. I know it's hard to wait but it's the best thing. And the doctor will ask if you have or not, at least mine did.

I think you should call your doctor and tell him/her your situation. Make sure to let them know that you will use condoms to prevent pregnancy.Your doctor may tell you to go ahead.
I think that pregnancy is a concern during this time. You can get pregnant. There aren't any other big issues with sex at this point, other than your own discomfort. I really think it is up to you.

I would wait too, just to be safe. Even though everything went great with your labor, etc, you want to make sure things are right before 'going at it' again:) In the meantime, there are plenty of other things to do.......use your imagination:)))
