I was thawing some pork chops in the sink, but I forgot about them and left them there overnight uncovered. I sealed them in the morning and put them back in the freezer. Is it safe to cook them later or should get rid of them?

You should definitely throw those out. The time limit is 2 hours I believe, after that the bacterial count goes bananas. For future reference, the ideal thawing method is in the refrigerator or as part of the cooking process.

The worse thing you could do is freeze, thaw, then to refreeze and thaw again. You should definitely throw them out. It is not only a health hazard, the texture of your meat will not feel right.
