I'm just wondering, because i haven't gone to a movie since either the 2nd pirates movie or the 3rd x-man movie.

I saw the 2nd pirates movie myself....
and the 3rd x-man with my boyfriend...

but he's in the army so i don't really have anyone to go with, and the rest of my friends are away at college, and i'm at college in our home town

Sure it is, you don't have to ask what movie your friend wants to watch and you can watch anything you want and it's a lot more relaxing by yourself:)

I have, once, and enjoyed it. I chose an isle seat, so I would not be bothered by anyone asking to sit by me, anyone who looked like they were not quite a gentleman, that is. I looked around for other singles, to sit in their general vicinity, but there were none. But that would be a good idea. And I chose a movie, and a time, when the place was not full of kids, and the movie was too spooky for young ones, anyhow.
Go see a movie, and have some popcorn1

I go to movies by myself most of the time. Like you, I have friends who are busy with work and families. My husband doesn't like to go to the movie theater anymore. He gets restless and he is fed up with the behavior of some movie goers (talking, cell phones, crying kids, etc.)

So, if there is a movie you wish to see and don't have anyone to go with you, I say, go ahead! Otherwise, you'll be sitting at home waiting on someone else's schedule for movie going.

It's great to see a movie on your own, you get all the popcorn and no one talks to you during the movie. I love it! Go have a good time.

Of course! I've seen many movies by myself if I couldn't find someone else to go. It's quite a nice, relaxing time! Enjoy!

some people are mortified by the idea of going anywhere alone...
i've never gone to a movie alone (but i would if i wanted to see something and no-one else could go).....i've gone out to eat alone...some-times it's nice not to have to worry about anyone but yourself-relaxing!

Naturally. Some people even enjoy it more.
Of course, giving your own comments on the movie to a perfect stranger might be bordering it...

Yes...I do it all the time when my husband is deployed. I go in during the previews and pic a seat. People dont notice you as much as we think they do.
