Depends on how commited he is to what he wants to do. If he is a untreated addict he will,with all the best intentions, go to the dope mans house. If he has found a program to go to then he has a chance. Gang banger if he goes back to the neighborhood then he may become involved cause that is all he knows. Unless he has made advancements to do different parole to a different location go to support groups that help gang members. All im saying you got to replace it with something if you dont most will return to the same ol same ol.

Let's think about this:
Brothel: YES! Now I'm on top b****! Just a little "recreation" on the way to the crib!
Restaurant: What? spend my "separation pay" on FOOD? Da** man I got other "urges" if you get the picture!
Gang Meeting: These cats are COOL! Da** man, What you think, am I goin' back to the "little woman" (the old ball and chain) or my homies! I am back in the 'hood and large and in charge!
GYM: Pay for what he got in the cell for free? Whachutalkinabout fool? You don't pay for what you can get for free sucker!
Answer: The Gang meeting! The only place he can get a piece of tail, catch up on old times, get a meal (depending on what the rest of the gang has stolen during the day!), get a workout (sparing with drunks) and be "home" (with the homies) all at the same time!

It all depends on Parole conditions, the person themself and what their priorities are. It is also reliant on who is picking them up on release? If it is parent/s, partner/spouse, child/ren, friend/s, Community Agency person etc.
In short, the answer to this question is as simple and complex as the individual who is being released and it could be any one, all, or none of the examples you have given.
