He is going to continue living off of you until you tell him enough is enough. Give him a set time (like 2-3 months) to get a full time job and an apartment. If you are that concerned with him, you could help him look for a place and maybe help him with some furnishings. He needs to grow up and be a man. He's 24 not 14. The only way this will work is for you to put your foot down and make him grow up.

Like everyone is saying.. Give him 2-3 months to get a better job and an apartment. If he doesnt move out, start charging him rent for the room he is using there, make it a little bit more than he is making now and he will get the picture

You could charge him rent in an amount he can afford with his current job. Give him a couple months to move out. Don't tell him, but put aside the rent he pays you and after the two months, he has first, last, and security saved up already.

Get a Cattle Prod and give him a couple of shocks with it, should knock him for a loop for a second or two. Then you'll have his attention.
Then i'd read the riot act to the lazy sh*it and tell him to get off his butt act like an adult and get out and get a real job. I wouldn't feed him out of your pocket until he did this.
Geezus, why have you waited so goddamned long to deal with this jerk.

My mom was in the same situation with me and to tell you honestly what you need to really do is going to be tough but you need to put your foot down and give him 2 months to find a good paying job and at the end of those 2 months move him out and make him be a man who can stand on his own two feet. During those two months start making plans for his room and slowly make small changes. My mom did this for me at first I really didn't belive her but after a month i knew she ment business when things in my room started disapering and my room started getting clean. It was hard for my mom but I thank her she made me get my life in order. He will throw a fit but believe me he'll thank you later

Kick him to the curb...he is way to old to be at home with mommy and daddy. He needs to grow up and learn to support himself...and hopefully, he will learn not to take advantage of you!

Hmm.......time for him to grow up. Set a time limit on him.....then kick him out. If you don't do this now, how will he survive when you pass away? Best of luck to you.

kick him out, give him a few weeks, like three...to find a job and then kick him out...you are only hindering him by letting him mooch off you.
