My bankruptcy was discharged in March and wanted to know is there a way not to give up my tax returns. My husband's hours has been drastically reduced and i'm starting school on the 6th of feb. I really would like to pay for my classes and books instead of taking out more loans. Does the court have to take both federal and state. Or is there a certain amount. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Call your bankruptcy lawyer and ask them. We filed a while back and we were never told they needed our tax refund.

Just give the lawyer a quick call and find out for sure.
