My daughter has torticollis and it's a musclar defect, it's called wry neck. She has had it since she was in the womb, but we finally noticed it 5 months and she didn't get help until 6 months, because they were highly booked. She is now going to be 10 months old. She still has it. I have been doing exercises everyday and she still has it. I got the intern working with my daughter, and I don't think it's helping. What should I do without surgery? Should I try to get another physical therapist?

My daughter also had torticollis when she was an infant. She improved quickly with physical therapy and gentle stretching exercises. By 6 months old the problem was completely gone. If you aren't noticing improvement I would get some advise from a doctor or take her to a different therapist. You could research which physical therapists in your area specialize in torticollis and begin there. I would definitely try more therapy before having surgery. Just be cautious though. I was told by several doctors that my daughter could develop malalignment of her face permanently if I don't get the problem corrected at an early age.
