Different AFSC's are in different categories, but the majority of people have M-16 every 2 1/2 years.

When I was in it depended on two things. How you did the last time and the requirements for the mobility position that you're filling. Most of the mobility positions I filled required annual qualification unless I shot expert. I shot expert most of the time so I re-qualified every two years. It's different for Sky Cops and certain force protection billets; those are often every six months. Your unit training NCO or mobility NCO can tell you what your specific requirements are.
