I'm not entirely sure if my gf wants me to be the loving caring guy for her who always showers her with hugs and kisses, or the guy who is more like her best friend. I wanna be her best friend, but I'm afraid that would slow down the physical attraction between us. I don't know, what do you girls usually look for in a guy?

Best friends and lovers go hand in hand, there is no better combination. You can be the boyfriend that showers with kisses and the best friend it is all in the timing and the moment. Just be yourself and open up with her about how you feel and ask her what she thinks, I'll bet she already feels like you are her best friend.

Be the caring loving man that you are. Hug her and kiss her. The friend part will happen. Have an open and honest relationship. Communicate is the biggest thing as well. When the lines of communication are open that is what generates the friendship plus the bond of something more as well. That is what I like at least. My man is my best friend. We talk about everything. Even past relationships.

There should be a healthy medium. She should be able to talk to you about her problems and vice versa, but you should also shower her with hugs and kisses. If anything, your care and concern for here will make her more attracted to you. My boyfriend is my best friend, and if he wasn't I'm not sure that I would be able to date him. It shouldn't be that hard to be both as, and everything should work out in your favor. Good luck!

Well, Im not a girl however, I read your question and I think it sounds like fear. There should be no fear when it comes to this, love has no boundries, you should step onto and through your fears in this relationship, and be free! NO!! not at all, i believe you should be friends as well, through thick and thin.
girls like a guy that they can talk to, someone thoughtful but kind of stubborn... a manly man with a sensitive side (and a nice smile is great too)
it's cute that you want to be her best friend, if she likes you, she will find that to be extremely cute as well

i want my boy friend to be my best friend. then i know for sure that he knows who i am and knows my qualities and much as my good. i dont want someone who i just makeout with and everyhting an dnot know anyhting about me. me and my ex became best friends through our relationship and were still best friends till the day. knowing he rmor emakes u love her more.
