I got to go around the Indy track at the gold coast in a pace car.
But just being at any race meeting live makes the adrenalin rush.

Spending an ENTIRE week at a Stock Car racing school !! Really AWESOME!! Ran at Altamont and MMM Speedways. Running Go-Karts several seasons at the "Late Great ASCOT Park" was a tremendous thrill as well.

When I was a young man in my 20's I used to drag race at the local strip. I had two different cars that I ran. A 1967 Plymouth GTX Street Hemi that ran (in street form) low 13 sec. times with an occasional drop into the high 12's. My other ride was a 1970 Plymouth Roadrunner with 383 Magnum motor. It ran in the high 14 sec-low 15sec range.Top speed for the Hemi was (in the quarter mile) 108 and for the Roadrunner 97. Aaah! The good old days! By the way, top speed for the Hemi was 150 and the Roadrunner just over 120. I buried the speedometer on both to find out.

Couple years back street racing in the windy road of Hong Kong south side, driving my dad's automatic bone stock silver 1992 BMW 325i sedan chasing a subaru WRX. I live there for so many years can memorize the road, but my daily driver was an integra GSR so I had no clue how to drive a FR car to the limit. The yellow WRX sti, tho fast, seemed like a rookie, but still it was a dog fight, very tough for my all season pirrelli P6000 to hang on to those bumpy roads on the tail of a car well known in the scene of street racing. The stock pads start to fade after a bunch of down hill corners, at the end i was force to use the gear to help brake. The next day, the auto tranny simply wouldnt change gear and my dad was quite pissed.

In a word many. I've been a member of a few pit crews in my life. We competed with the late great Richie Evans, Ray Hendrick, Dutch Hoag, Maynard Troyer, Jerry Cook, Lee Osborne and many others Let Me tell you Sunshine, each race was great. I'd have to say my personal biggest charge was at Martinsville VA. When Geoff Bodine won his first Winston Cup race buy passing Bobby Allison and Darrell Waltrip on the next to last lap. He was driving for Poppa Joe and Rick Hendrick. I think its the color noise and good clean tight racing that lights my fire. Recently, I allowed myself to get hooked on 410 sprint cars watching guys such as Steve Kinser, Donnie Schotz, Fast Freddy Rahmer, Doug Esh, Darren Pittman, Lucas Wolfe and others.

Blasting threw the trees at the Ojibwe Forst rally in 06' while doing 120 over very large jumps and not knowing what was on the other sides while on dirt and in with limited visability. That or literally having my rally car blow up in the middle of rush hour traffic on transit during the COG rally 03'.

I used to live in Darlington SC and knew enough people that worked at the track to be able to score pit passes. We were able to go to the drivers meeting before the race and actually watch the drivers interact with each other. Very Cool!

Indy Pit passes at Kentucky Speedway! We met all the drivers, including Dan Wheldon. (He's neighbors with my best friend!) This March, we are volunteering with the Downforce Fan Club for the Honda Grand Prix in St. Petersburg. Cannot wait!

Lucky you. Must have been cool.

I had a hot pit pass at the SaveMart 300 once. I was in Dale Earnhardt's pits during the most of the race. It was way cool.
