what kind of question should you ask on college visits? do the students/administration ask the visitees questions? are tours usually taken in a group or individually?

Questions to Ask Each College:
What are your academic goals?
How strong is the program you might want your major to be?
Are there professors in the department who specialize in an area that you are interested in?
Do you prefer intimate classes or ones with enough students to fill an auditorium?
What opportunities will you have to interact with your professors? What is the faculty-student ratio?
Will you be required to write a thesis or take competency exams in order to graduate?
Do you want to attend party central (a school with a reputation for partying)?
Does the school offer extracurricular activities that you would enjoy?
How strong is the athletics program? Does the school offer intramural sports?
What kind of programs or services does the school offer? Programs or services could include personal and career counseling, internship programs, student employment help, alumni connections, and more.
Do most students live on campus or commute?
What is the housing market or campus housing like?
What size student body fits you?
Is the campus in the inner city, countryside, or somewhere in between?
What is the community around the college like?
How safe is the college campus and the surrounding community?

Ask about housing programs, financial aid, where do the students hang out, job opportunities.... On a tour the administration do not normally ask you questions and you can take tours individually or in a group just call the school and make an appointment.
