What is the safest flat iron for hair that is color treated and tends to be dry with split ends? Need a flat iron that is not going to cause any more damage than necessary. One that would cause no more damage than a good curling iron. Thanks for your help....

get a ceramic flat iron- look at sally hansen or beautybrands. it's a lot less damaging to your hair. also, deep condition your hair at least once a week.

i use a remmington wet2straight and it doesnt damage my hair noticeably. what you do is when you get out of the shower just get enough water off your hair so its not dripping. then put in a leave in conditioner or frizz eaze step #3. (you can find all of these at walmart) and put the straightener on 30 (the highest heat) if its not hot enough then your hair will poof... i learned that the hard way. :D

I love remington Wet2Style, but that is very damaging to my hair, but I just got a Conair extra high heat and it works really well and isn't to damaging to my own hair...

none, just dont do it or your hair will get worse, atleast wait until it grows out and you cut the dry off, I always recommend panten and panten mouse even on straight hair HUGE difference, oh and the growing out and cutting off takes years so think twice before you do stuff again.

Sorry, but anything with heat can cause damage if you use it regularly
