A coulis? If that's what you mean, a coulis is a type of concentrated fruit sauce, i.e. a raspberry coulis or mango coulis. Lots of times these sauces are used to decorate dessert plates or drizzled over the dessert itself.

It's actually fruit coulis. It's made by mashing fruit and mixing it with sugar. Cook for a few minutes stirring constantly and then strain it so that you get all the pulp and seeds out. The syrup that you strain off is the coulis.

Cheese cloth is the best thing to strain it with.

normally just pureed fruit dribbled over desert eg raspberry coolie its just raspberries in liquid form .
