This is a great question and I see you received responses from the ladies, which they would know much better then myself, being a man, I asked several females what they liked in a man and what could men do to be more appreciated by females (of course this was to learn how to be more successful in my relationships and what they have all told me is basically the same responses each time, of course depending upon the types of women you like.
Most normal females told me that they liked a man that was honest and gentle, one that does things for them, like opening a car door, pulling back their chair at dinner, and was romantic which was the number one answer, so in my life experience romance always wins out.
All of the harder ladies (we love you too and it takes all kinds of ladies too)-stated that they wished a man would do more and express themselves better and that men should be able to talk about what they felt instead of keeping everything bottled up inside.
Fact is men and women are totally opposites and thats why we both love each other so much, if we were all the same then it would become boring.
A woman likes to be free to act free and feel comfortable that her man will not go off the deep end everytime she admires a different man, going as far as giving compliments to a guy without intent to mess around.

Well, kindness is a big thing. and trust. Then there is the little things. a lot of guys think that the little things dont matter, but I personally notice the little things more then the big things. Always being yourself. If you change who you are then she will never be able to get to know you for you. And the attitude. Always be happy with them even if your world is crashing. Just always be happy, trustful, and yourself!

Someone that treats women with a gentlemanly manor. Kind, Funny, and mature. Someone who can also hold a conversation. As in looking in her eyes and not at her boobs.
