what where your first impressions? i am talking about acceleration and overall feel of the car.I know it's fast and has plenty of torque but curious to know how fast it really is

I've been in the car business since 1983, & quite frankly it takes an awfull lot of car to impress me.
I also drive just about whatever 'demo' I want to & get to switch cars quite frequently.
But I'll admit that the 1st time that I got to drive the newly designed (2005) Mustang........I COULD NOT WIPE THE SMILE OFF OF MY FACE!
It was magnificent!

It's good powered but never taken one above 70mph. Overall I like the feel of the newer mustang so far as it doesn't seem dated like the 94-04 mustang. Handling is real good. What surprised me was the v-6s.. compared to the v-6 in the older mustangs, it's got some power for being the flash motor (the motor you put in when you want looks more than muscle)
But it can't beat a shelby... test drove a 07 shelby 500 and if it wasn't so damn expensive (most dealers wanting at least 10k over sticker) it is a kick butt, take names car that has a heavier feel than the vette.

It was a nice car but power wise it depends on what your opinions of fast are. My wifes 2002 camaro ss would eat it alive. But it was a nice solid car that seemed to handle well

man!!! i bought a mustang gt california special last year for myself and it was the best car ever made better than the nissan z and drove this car every where and its super reliable and atractive....but now i have the 07 shelby cobra and whoa!!! its waaay more powerful than the gt.....and waaay more atractive
