okay. so i know my boyfriend is going to propose to me soon, and im the kind of person who loves surprieses, but hates the anticipation for them. he forgot to log out from his e mail and when i went to check mine, i noticed an e mail from a friend of his who he had lunch with a few weeks ago and in the e mail his friend said " so how did your lady like her new years "gift" " does that mean that he was going to propose on new years? because he didnt? im trying to play detective here even though i know i shouldnt, but the suspence is just killing me

You surely are a horrible girlfriend, darling : )
... just kidding hehe... you're just curious, as user "yes_u_r_dumb" said, you shouldn't do anything about it, just WAIT for the day and it will make a good memory, if you rush it someway it won't be special, it won't be "the day he proposed to you" but "the day you MADE him propose to you", not cool if you ask me.

Well I would rule you out as horrible, but you are about to ruin the best surprize of your life!! Girlie, you need to relax, he probably knows your anxious and will continue to wait until he knows you are not expecting it! This is a once in a life time question (for the two of you) and it is suppose to be filled with suspense! So just chill and let it come the way it should...when it does happen your emotions at the moment he proposes will be sincere.

Unless you have a real good reason to think that he was going to propose you should be careful about assuming it. He could have been talking about many types of gifts. But best wishes, and I think you should do your best to find out.

No, your not a horrible girl friend, just curious, He might have been nervous. Create a special eveing just for the two of you. It will be the perfect oppertunity for him to propose. (Remember curiousity killed the cat, but it didn't say anything about girlfriends!)

In my opinion, maybe you're too focussed on the fact that he might soon propose that you may have missed something that your bf did or gave you on new years.
I say let it happen when it happens, if you continue snooping, he might find out and his trust in you could be affected.

Chill out... he might not be ready to propose. The "gift" could have been something mundane... and not a diamond.
If he's going to propose, he'll do it when he is ready.

OK...my guy is leaning over my shoulder, and he thinks that your guy planned on you finding the email. We're both betting that he knows you're anticipating the question pop and he planted the email just to think you missed something. We think he's just waiting to truly surprise you.

No you're not a horrible girlfriend...but and awfully curious one!! Let him do it when he is ready. He's probably going to take his time to plan something out for you and that is something you WANT to be surprised for.

Just stop and wait for it. It will be much more special and you'll have the rest of your life to remember that exciting day.

it took my bf 6 yrs to propose to me. if ur curious just ask him about the email but be prepared for him to maybe get angry for looking at his email.
