The airline per say doesnt. It depends on if the agency with the warrant put that person on the "No Fly" list. The list is run and matched up with passenger lists every day and if something matches it locks the reservation so that the ticket agent has to call the Corp. Security line to figure out if that person is the person of interest and then clear the reservation if it is not.

I would think that they check for federal warrants, but not local or county warrants. It also would depend upon what the warrant is for. If it's for a misdemeanor and was issued in a state besides the one you are in then they cannot extradite you anyway. State to state extraditions only can happen for felony warrants.
