Deal with the warrant first. You will only make it worse if you ignore it.

pay the ticket and have a nice trip. One more thing. recently with new changes by the bush administration, if you have a previous felony conviction and leave the country to another country other than mexico and/or canada, you may have great difficulty coming back to the united states.

Many people that have left the country on a simple vacation, were barred for several days, weeks, and in some cases months from coming back to the united states. Just another sick bush policy to harrass and control people.

You can leave the country, but when and you come back Customs Border Protection (CBP) aka Customs/Immigration Inspectors will know you have the warrant (if it is entered in the National Crime Information Computer (NCIC) ) and if the agency wants to extradite you, you will be arrested and turned over to the local police.

If the local police are not the issuer of the warrant, you could be held up to 30 days for transport.

Take care of the warrant first!

You can travel anywhere you want to go. A traffic ticket warrant does not go on your passport. Better pay the traffic ticket and get matters cleared up asap. It gets tougher for you as time goes by.

Traffic tickets are misdemeanor offenses. The warrant will be local and not entered into NCIS, that is reserved for felony crimes.
Your biggest concern with outstanding traffic tickets is the DMV may well suspend your driver's license if you do not pay the ticket.
