i dont really believe that their is a war between muslims and christians, what i however believe is that, there is a war between some muslims and America, not christianity. Just take a look...
How many christian countries in the world have been attacked apart from America, and America is not even the centre of christianity! The Pope would be the one to be attacked if it is a religious war or Saudi Arabia. America created terrorism and now claim to be fighting it when they now they are clearly promoting it.
I believe it is the hypocracy of the American government and the western media that cause all this misconceptions. whats your opinion on this please?

There are no more truly "Christian" countries left in the world today; the ones that are "Christian" in name only are mostly secular and atheistic. Walk into any church in Europe, and you'll pretty much find only a handful of old people still attending. Their churches are dying. America is the last holdout of Fundamental Christianity. Other countries don't have a beef with Islam because their churches are more compromising, which is not necessarily a good thing.
And also, do not misconstrue the American Government as "Christian". It is far from it. The American Government today is an oligarchy, not a democracy.

yes I agree. most people here seem to think that terrorist muslims do the bombing because they hate all non-muslims. they quote the Quran out of context to "prove" that Allah wants muslims to convert the world to muslim by force. but when you think about 9/11 that doesnt even make sense. that bombing wasnt for converting anyone. i understand that those muslims hate america and the western countries because in their mind america is an enemy. its not a religious war. yes, muslims represent one side but the other is the US. i'm not sure why they hate the US so much but i think because they feel that the US is an enemy. The US supported israel over the palestinian people and that kind of symbolizes to them whose side they are on. well actually i do know now why certain muslims hate the US. seeing troops in Iraq and the bombings of course wont make any muslim feel very friendly toward the US. but i was talking about what triggered Osama and those other terrorists to do the bombing on 9/11. after that however, a lot of people developed an us vs. them mentality. i hope some of this makes sense

war is bad, but being sent off to war is even worse. If there was a war in my backyard I would be more than happy to grab an ak-47 and shoot some bad guys. The only problem with modern war is some guy you never met tells you to shoot another guy you've never met.

Its pride. America has it all, the Eastern countries have nothing. Maybe they have a little oil, but that will come to an end. We can do away with oil in 10 years if we wanted to.
