I get this popping sensation in my head like theres firecrackers going off. its very annoying to me. I just quit the antidepressant (weaned off of it, not cold turkey...I went all the way down to 10mg and then quit).

How quickly did you wean yourself off it? It sounds like a symptom of withdrawal from the antidepressant. Anyway it shouldn't last for more than a few days if you can handle it!

I hope this helps others in coping with withdrawing from cymbalta or any other ssri. I had brain zaps for the first 8 days and today is day #9- brain zaps have diminished drastically (phew!). Loss of appetite (lost the 6 lbs I gained in the first place from cymbalta), and I felt disconnected with the world for the first 5 days. Don't get me wrong, cymbalta is a great med aside from the price of it. I actually did alright with the withdrawal symptoms and I feel much better. My advice based on my experience (though I am not a medical professional), is to wean off cymbalta slowly. Don't be an idiot and do the one week thing like I did!! These ssri's alter your brain chemicals and it is a big deal!! So please, be careful!!!!

whether you wean off of a drug or go cold turkey (mmm...cold turkey...) your going to feel some side effects. just wait them out or go see your doc if your really concerned or if you cant concentrate. you really need to see a doctor if it starts to get painful, or if it affects your vision...

hope this helps!!! :)

It's probably your ears. I have that kind of sound when I get water in my ears after showering or something, but I can kinda feel it in my ear a little bit. If you don't feel it it might be something else, maybe.

it's probably your ears that are popping, they could be doing it more because of you quiting the anti depressants.

It may be your neurons going nuts in your brain.Meds can mess you up big time when you go off of them.
