It sounds like an ear infection. If you had a sinus infection your face would hurt, and you would have a lot of pressure. If you are an adult with a throbbing ear, I'd get it checked.. good luck..

I've had sinus infections before and you definitely can experience a stuffy nose, sore throat and headache. I've not though, had ear ache with it so I would be a bit concerned about that. Generally, ear infections are accompanied by a fever - I know, my kids have had more than I can count! So you might want to get out the thermometre and check and if so, get to your doctor soon...but it's better to be safe than sorry and go to the doctor if your ears are bothering you - I don't know of anything that treats an ear infection except antibiotics. Good luck!

It definitely sounds like an infection & you wouldn't be far off having a fever... I recommend seeing a doctor as you may need antibiotics to eliminate the bacteria responsible for infection. I would always err on the side of caution when it comes to getting an infection that close to your brain. It's possible for infection to spread to the brain causing encephalitis.

I just went to the doctor for the exact same symptoms and it was a sinus infection caused by allergies. I think my allergies were triggered by my new feather/down pillows.
