Guys, what does this mean. Just trying to figure you guys out. Not insecure just wondering.

You have been dating a girl for four months, and you have this nice dinner planned. Then you invite your best buddy and his girlfriend to join you and your girl for dinner with out telling your girl before hand.
Does this mean that you want your girl to meet your friends?
Does it mean that you want your friends opinion about your girl?
Does it mean that you cant handle a nice romantic dinner by yourself and you need to have a friend to take the pressure off?

Your reading too much into it. I think he just wants to show off his new girlfriend to his best friend and his girlfriend. Sometimes to a guy, a new girlfriend is like a new car. You really want to show her off to all your buddies just to make them a little jealous! Yes, he will probably seek their opinion while you are in the bathroom. But just relax and be yourself and mind your table manners. It will be just fine in the long run. Believe me, it's not that he can't handle a romantic dinner alone with you.

It probably means a few things. He might not be able to handle the dinner by himself yet. Also, he may want you to meet his friends. They'll give their opinion about you no matter where or when they meet you so this doesn't seem like the answer here. My guess is the pressure one.

The other answers are good and I write to support them.

In the past I have invited friends to come out with me and my girlfriend. It has never been for any of the reasons suggested.

It has always been that I want to spend time with my favourite people.

The first two answers sound about right. If he couldn't handle being alone with you he should have let you know he invited them but, it shouldn't be such a big deal to you but since it is, he's just trying to get his buddy's approval.

It sounds like his best buddy's girlfriend took his best buddy away from him and he misses the guy.

I would have a short and to the point talk wiht this guy about the birds and bees and girls and sex and things

I think you're making this more complicated than it is. More than likely, guys just invite friends for no reason. No games. Just want to have a good time. That's all.

Don't know what it means. i dated a girl for three years and we only went on dates and stuff alone. maybe he was paranoid he would leave his wallet at home, so he brought a buddy so he wouldnt have to ask you for money.

Not knowing this guy, I'm not sure what his motive was for inviting them. You should ask him. He's either dumb or a little inconsiderate to not tell you before hand though.
