There are too many guys out there for you to narrow your options down to him. Consider finding someone new. Remember, feelings linger, and who's to say that he no longer cares for your friend. This can potentially become a big issue, maybe not right away, but in the latter part of the relationship, you will begin to ask questions, and you will not be happy with the answers. Not to mention that you may not want this friend around once things get more serious. You will undoubtedly feel jealousy, it's just a matter of time!!!!

You know that saying "timing is everything"? That statement cannot be more true for this situation. He honestly probably doesn't still have feelings for you, but the only way you can find out is to ask him out now. It's your turn to put yourself out on a limb.
If you do not want it to be so forward, try to just talk to him first, email, instant message, or even a phone call just to see how he's doing and then feel him about from there. He might be bitter that you said no, but if you really want to be bold tell him that you only said no because your friend liked him.
Good luck,
beej

Just do what you were doin' before only flirt a little more and wear more flattering clothes. Act as more like you already are his girlfriend, he'll get the message and totally ask you out. Obviously he liked how you were or he wouldn't have asked you out in the first place. And next time, don't just say no because your friend like him too. Tell him you need to get back to him and ask for her permission, if she's really your BFF she'll let you have him.

Why don't you just ask him out. If you would have lost a best friend over a guy that is dumb and your friend isn't a true friend. Maybe tell the guy you couldn't date or something so he doesn't think it's him. Try it, you never know unless you take a chance.

Ask him out! If that bothers you because you'll seem needy, then make it somehting casual like a party or a getogether with friends. Then flirt your **** off and cross your fingers (but maybe not your legs).

CALL HIM NOW! what are you waiting for ya crazy...
If you like him, call him, it's that easy. He'll ask you out on a date and voila. Your friend has dropped her claim on him, it's your turn now.

you could try asking him out, but he might not like you anymore or he might think that you know since you turned him down he can turn you down too. and you know that really would suck especially if you guys would click and stuff.
