The absolute best product to use is FX Curls Up. You can get it at any Wal-Mart, CVS, Walgreens, Albertsons, etc. You'll love it!

I did this in high school and it worked like a charm. I gave myself a 'beer perm'- would roll my hair in perm rollers the night before, choose the appropriate size for your desired look- then pour a can of warm beer over it- pat dry. sleep on it wet (use a soft pillow and a towel to protect it) In the a.m. give it a final blow dry (on warm or low setting to make sure all rollers are bone dry) and then unroll and style as wanted. The curls last until you wash it out. Beer is a great setting lotion. You do smell like a beer so use some good smelling syling products. It always worked for me!

Try a hot curling iron just after a shower and some hot oil.

Okay, listen up hon...the best way to curl your hair is to get a hair crimper. It looks like three curling irons put together. I use it and it's awesome.

I used to use sponge rollers. Sponge rollers don't cause the damage that heated appliances do. If you can tolerate sleeping with rollers, try spritzing your hair with a little water (do not roll your hair while it's wet - it won't dry by the next day) then roll your hair under. It depends on how long your hair is to determine how big a section you should use with each roller.

products to defuse curl or a water perm(which is no perm solution). You can go to a beauty school for that and it will cost maybe $30.
