Does reading music constantly really affect your eyesight and make it worse as i have heard this quite a few times from different people. And i play a lot of of music. Is there anything you can do to prevent it (and don say dont read music!)

Thanks

Difficult to say, my eyes have got a lot worse over the years but I guess thats part of getting older. I have to have reading glasses for reading music and bifocals for day to day wear;

Reading doesn't affect your eyesight, it's reading with improper lighting that will.
There are plenty of musicians who have 20/20 eye sight.

I have been singing since I was in elementary school (I'm now 24), and I've heard that a few times too. I'm not sure how true it is, but some of the manuscripts I've sung have been printed so tiny, I could definitely see where that would be a problem!
