My DH and I had an estimate done this week with HR Block , and we would like to know if any one knows about how accurate those estimates usually are, either those or the ones that you can do your self online. I'd appreciate any feed back, thanks!

What about something nicer like Dear Husband?

It depends on the information they have to work with. They basically fill out a tax return and use the refund amount. If you have all the correct information, their 'estimate' should be perfect. If they have missing or estimated data to start with, they are only as accurate as the estimates.

They're normally pretty good. H&R has guarantees in place that encourage them to develop a good service.

(That is to say, their estimates are as good as the information you give them. They're not mind-readers.)

What's a "DH"? Dead husband? Deadbeat husband? Dumb husband? Some of these new accronyms I just don't get.
