I'm 12 I used to unhealthy food but now it's juice, water, healthy food and I apply certain kinds of oil to my hair to keep it healthy. I used to loose a lot of hair but now it's lessing why is it still falling if I'm being healthy?

P.S. How to get rid of dandruff? {I can't use those shampoo/condinor things...}

Hi....

A medical condition...like a hormone imbalance can cause hair to fall out. I've had problems with my thyroid gland and experienced this first hand. Please make an appt to see your Dr and tell him what you've told us. He'll probably want to run some tests. It'll be okay.... Just look after yoursefl.

Take care.

It's most likely not 'falling out,' it's probably just normal breakage from brushing and styling. Just keep taking vitamins and do what you're doing as far as the breakage goes and avoid excess brushing, or a lot of heat. As far as the dandruff goes, if you shampoo & condition daily with a normal shampoo, it's most likely build up, especially if you're using oil treatments. Does your head have bumps on it? Go buy a clarifying shampoo and use it once a week to get off all the build up. If it is true dandruff I would stop the oil treatments and try a Loreal moisture treatment.

How much hair are you talking about?

Humans lose a ton of hair all the time. Upwards of 100 strands a day. So if you have long hair like I do, it looks like your hair is just falling out in clumps, but it's not.

For dandruff I use Sea Breeze (face antiseptic) or witch hazel. Put it on before bed (it smells and it tingles, but it works) and make sure your head is dry before you go around fire or heat (use your blow dryer on COOL if you want).

1. make sure you eat a lot of protein. hair is a protein, so you need it.
2. consider taking vitamins if you do not already.
3. hair should fall out. it falls out every day, just make sure it isn't in clumps; that is unhealthy.
4. for dandruff; head and shoulders works great!

Do you get perms??....... are you combing it too hard?......are you brushing it too hard?...... theres alot of factors. Do you get your hair trimmed by professionals every now and then? Are you trying to do you hair yourself rather than get it done by the shop if so then its going to fall out because you cant take care of your own hair cuz you never went to school for it like people in the shop have do you see? I think its time you get it done or go to your doctor or something.

Are you getting enough protein? A good check up with routine nutrition screening should answer your questions.
