I've been friends with this girl for a year and a half..but i've been liking her for a year and a half Just recently we went on our first date and at the end we kissed....7 days later i asked her out but she said she want to be friends but that just made me want to try harder to get her to feel what i feel but i feel like im wasting my time.....am i?

Well if you guys took a whole year and a half to go out on a date then she probably saw you like a good friend all along. At least she kissed you at the end of the date though. Just let it flow naturally because if she is used to seeing you as a friend all of this time I know that has to be kind of ackward to go from friends to bf/gf. I know I see my male friends as just friends, so if one of them comes on to me it would take some getting used to.
If she doesnt act like she wants to go out again within the next couple of weeks then I would say just leave it as buds before things get weird and you guys dont even hang out any more. TRUST ME, I know because I messed around with a good friend before and we ended up not even being friends any more because things got tooo weird afterwards.

yes. there's a reason why she just wants to be friends. because she feels that's all she can be. if you really like her, be patient and see what happens in the future. things can change.

ask if she ever considered you guys as more than friends. If she says no find someone else. It drives me crazy when I tell a guy I don't like them and they keep bothering me. Don't bother her.
