Hi there. Acutally, the latest version of Norton's Antivirus is 2007. Go figure ... since most software companies are churning out new releases every few months unsurprisingly. As to your question, having Norton's Antivirus catching *all* viruses that may come thru limewire would be wishful thinking, cuz it won't. There's no such thing is 100% protection. That's why it's utmost important to remember and understand what you are downloading off sites such as limewire and other P2P apps. Most viruses and others can disguise themselves as other file extensions, meaning it's possible a virus to be in a .JPEG file and not get scanned by Nortons or any other virus scanner apps and easily infect your computer. So prudence and careful consideration in what you download helps you in a long way in avoiding potential and harmful viruses into your computer.

Hope this helps

If its installed correctly it should tell you if something your downloading is prone to virus or has it. Itll let you decide whether or not you want to continue. I personally wouldnt. Answer to your question yes you can download from limewire.
