1. Touch Door Handle Surface Covers
Form fitting door knob cover made of elastomer material (latex free). Provides a sure grip, especially helpful to people with arthritis in their hands. These door handle covers have an antimicrobial additive to inhibit the growth of bacteria too. A simple product which makes a huge difference!

2. Duro-Med Door Knob Helper
Fits over most standard door knobs to allow for better grip - using leverage to open doors easily.

3. Ableware Door Knob Gripper
Grasping aid for hand designed for use by individuals with arthritis of the hand or fingers or other grasping disabilities. The Gripper fits over round door knobs and outdoor water faucets. The outside is smooth and the inside is ribbed to firmly grip the door knob.

I have seen an attachment that fits around the knob and sticks out as a handle away from the door jam. You could purchase this type of item at a local walgreens or wheel chair store.

or you could just replace the knob with a different type. Home depot should have the type of knob that I am talking about.

Big fat rubber bands can be very helpful to those of us that have trouble gripping. Wrap them around doorknobs and drinking glasses to provide a better gripping surface.
They were used before the modern inventions, and if the hand's grip is not too bad, can be a cheap help.
Hope this helps
