that's the eternal question babe - she's a garden-variety religious wackjob. There's no reasoning with them.

Those are controlling tactics. Unfortunately, since you are asking this question, that means you are a minor and are bond to obey her. If you still feel that way at age 18, then you can leave, but for now you must obey her.
It would be better if she did not try to control you by saying you have a demon, but I doubt she will ever change. My dad never got to the point he accepted me and always said I had a demon. I stopped seeing him at all in 1996 and he died in 2003 and he still hated me and I did not know he was dead until he had been dead 2 years. I haven't seen my mother in 11 years because she likes to call me demon possessed. I am 54, either you will just put up with it or you don't but that is after you reach adulthood. For now you just have to grin and bear it.

NO not all Christians are like that. I let my children watch cartoons but I also make sure there not watching anything they don't need to watch such as "Harry Potter".
As far as calling you a demon sounds as if she has a spirit of controll opressing her.Yes satan can use you for things he wants to accomplish but only if you allow him.She should know this being a Christian. Your not a demon maybe the things your watching is filled with demon signs and sounds and that is why she is so scared.Your mother making you watch preaching, good for her, my daughter watches Franklin Jenzen and she loves it.I think it is very wise for your mother to let you watch preaching on tv. I also know that kids need outlets and watch cartoons(that are not to bad).

LMAO, your mom is psycho. shes far far off from the bibles true teachings.
you can tell her that the devil cant have you, cause to say so would imply that the devil can be everywhere at once, and thus equating the devil in part to god, as both are everywhere at all times.
as for the preaching, the bible says it is good to have fellowship with other christians. that means more of a friendship where you will learn from eachother. not to go to a congregation and listen to someone tell you how to live. nowhere in the bible does it say you have to do this either.
my advice to you is to just put up with it for now. if you dont want to listen at church u dont have to. your mom may force you to go, but she cant force you to believe. you should believe what you WANT.
good luck

I don't like to disagree with your Mom, but Honey, your Mom is taking her faith way too serious. Christians believe in Jesus Christ and because you want to watch cartoons has nothing to do with demons, you are a kid and want to do what kids do. I am a Mom with 3 grown boys and we are Christians, When Jesus is in your heart no demon will go there. Try to obey your Mom, but just remember that Jesus is gentle and kind and He loves all of you. God Bless, little one.

Well you can lead a horse to water but you can't make them drink it. God gave us all free will, she knows that. Some say they are Christian and are not. You sure your mom is a Christian?
I know I am, I would never try to force it on any one, that is not love, nor is it of God. Everything has it's season,we must have faith that it is in God's hands and that we as Christians did all we could to set an example as to what a Christian is. We pray for our loved ones,we do not beat them up. God never done that to us....i could go on,but I will spear you that and close with this. If your Mom is not a Christian, then what is she...confused? have pity on her, love her.

I think that devil **** is used to instill fear in people just to keep them in check. It seems to me like it's a religious form of discipline. Don't get me wrong.....I still believe in some aspects of christianity, but I just don't accept the idea of hell, and demons, and the devil! I used to think that there were such things as demons and devils, too. I don't believe that stuff anymore. As for me, I just eventually realized that you have to live life comfortably, not in fear. The idea of the devil and demons is fearful. God is forgiving, and I don't believe that hell is a place for anyone who is capable of being forgiven. When you get older, you will eventually have to explore things on your own, and maybe you'll kick that devil **** to the curb, too.

Your mom is right, you are allowing Satan to guide you, even though you can't see it. When you are older, you will understand better, and you will be glad your mom did this. Satan loves to lead little children astray, because he knows they are the apple of God's eye. He will try to reach you through secular cartoons and movies and TV shows. Obey your mother and go to church. Your mother wants you to be saved and not eternally separated from her.
