I'm 12 and I'm sensitive and when someone triggers that sensitivity inside of me I get angry and I would kill someone in rage. And I hurt people I hurt me...I hurt me mostly and I throw objects..

How do I control the sensitivity from being triggered?

You are not sensitive, you are angry. You should ask your parents to get you some anger management therapy, it really helps. If you dont start controlling the anger you could end up in serious trouble;

Remember that everything is not about you. For ex.- Some people say negative things because they're in a negative mood. They may even say negaitive things to you however that doesn't mean that the comment is meant as an insult or threat. Do not take everything so personally or seriously.
Suppose you're about to get on the bus and someone else gets in front of you. You get mad before you think, what could be going on? Not what do you think is going on...Maybe someone is late getting to work, they know that if they're late for work, there's going to be a problem with the boss. Now, they're in a rush, they could be trying to save their job,. they run to the bus to board it and they don't even see you. You think that just because you're standing there, that they should see you. That sets you off, you get mad and you want to 'get even.' So you do or say something to that person, that person says something back to you, all of a sudden the adult is mad at you and you're mad at the adult. So what!!?!?!?! So, what if that person is deaf? Suppose that person is your friend's mother?
Just maybe that person, whoever they are. did not mean to offend you, maybe that person was having a hard day and you just made it worse. And now that you're mad at that person, your day is worst than it had to be also.
For real, like I started at the beginning, everything is not about you. This scene is played out so often in AMerican society because we have become a nation of angry people, bent on getting our way and not even thinking about the other person. And it's not just 12 year olds. Too many people are rude, angry and 'sensitive.' Too many and it is SAD. Want a New year's resolution? Work on being less "sensitive."

All negative reactions we have are based on previous experiences that are locked in our brain.
When something similar happens in our life, it triggers that negative memory and releases the hormones that made us angry to begin with.

There are two ways to go with this:
One is to see a therapist who can unlock those memories (if you are willing) ... this may take a long time and be very expensive, depending how open you want to be with the therapist.

The other way is to use the Paradox Process.
It works like this:
When something happens that triggers your 'sensitivity' or anger,
You IMMEDIATELY say, "It is totally and completely impossible to accept __________________________________________________ "(fill-in the blank with whatever is happening that is making you angy)
Then close your eyes and imagine a wheel in the left side of your brain, and say the following over & over, until the anger subsides;
"accept the unacceptable, accept the unacceptable". (Usually in 2-3 mins or less.)

This will probably calm you down, your anger hormones, anyway.
U will still be angry maybe ... but you will see the situation in a clearer light, and not want to hurt yourself or throw things, or feel like killing someone.

This is a quick fix but doesn't totally solve why you get so angry about things. Eventually U will need to go to a thrapist about this.
Because I don't think it is too healthy for you to be so self destructive for the rest of your life. It will poison the future possibility of your happiness.

In the meantime, I hope you can do, and be successful with, The Paradox Process.

... you are too young to get so upset about things.
I wish you the best.
Be Well

Hey, I am 13, and I'll help. Ok, sometimes I have the same problem, so here's what you do. I know this sounds pretty corny, but DO it BEFORE you do ANYTHING else! I promise, it will HELP! FIRST, breath SLOWLY 5-10 times. Then, count to 10 in your head. Now, leave the situation, and go to the bathroom. Don''t even THINK about hurting yourself, ok? Now, turn on the faucet to WARM water. Wash your face, and pretend all of those people are getting washed from your memory. Do NOT wash violently. Now, go into the shower, and repeat it, except wash your body this time so you can get the sweat off of you. And now, go into your room, close and lock the door, turn on your favorite music, watch TV, draw, read, or sleep. Do WHATEVER you think is fun when you're in control. Do what you want for about an hour or so to COMPLETELY calm you down. Now, if you WANT to, talk it out GENTLY with the person you fought with. Remember, plan out what you are going to say before you go and talk to the person. Talking it out, and planning things will make sure no grudges are formed. Hope this helps, and good luck!
