You shouldn't get a tattoo while pregnant and no reputable tattoo artist will tattoo you.

For the health of you and the baby, just wait until after you have given birth

There has been no clinical studies completed on the effects of tattoing during pregnancy.(in Australia) So there is no medical evidence I have found, to prove the actual application (and products used) is unhealthy for the feotus.
It is unknown if ink that enters the blood stream during tattooing will cross the placenta to the feotus.
The reason you are unable to donate blood if you have been tattooed in the last 12 months is not because of ink floating around in your blood stream, but the risk that you have contracted an infectious desease, such as HIV or HEPITITIS(among others). that may not initially show up in tests.
Same goes with tattooing during pregnancy, you want to minimise the chances of contracting an infection or disease,
you yourself have lower immunity, and strength to fight off infections, and the feotus dosen't stand a chance.
You could possibly have no problems at all,
But is it worth risking your precious bubbas health?
Best wishes to you and your family.

oh Lord no... do you understand the process of getting a tattoo? Even in a clean shop there is a small risk of infection... nothing is 100% safe so why would you want to risk getting sick and having it harm your baby. Wait until you have the baby... anyways why dont you just save the $$ for when the baby comes

If I were you I would ask a doctor or the tattoo artist. They would know for sure! But in my opinion I would probably wait until after the pregnancy! Just to be safe!

Totally not. You have enough pain already. Wait until after the baby comes. Because if you get it, and it becomes infected for some reason, it could possibly kill you and the baby.

Well, since you cannot donate plasma or blood for at least one year after getting a tattoo, I would say probably not.

I don't think that it is. It gets into your blood, cause you can't donate to the red cross for a year after you get a tatoo.
Get it after you give birth. That way you will know if you really want it forever.

Absolutely not, wait until after you the baby. The baby can get ink poison and it's just something you shouldn't risk during your pregnancy, just wait the nine months.
