What are you doing about it. It starts with action, not words.

Have you ever stopped and talked to one of these people when you're walking down the halls with your friends? They may be shy and uncomfortable and find it difficult to make friends. Don't assume that they aren't good enough. Sometimes all they need is for someone to approach them and make an effort. I think you sound like a great person. I would suggest stopping and talking to one of these people in the hall one day. You may make a new friend and make someone feel better.Don't wait for "someone" to step up and change the world. You should step up and encourage your friends to do the same. Each person has an opportunity to change the world one step at a time.....

Perhaps if it is such a great concern to you, you should become a change maker within your own community. The world is slow to change, but in a small community, if enough people express a view, sometimes it can change things. It sounds to me like you are still a student. The school environment can be one of the most resistent communities when it comes to changing the status quo, but find yourself some like minded friends and have the courage to give it a shot. You may not change anything, but you will most likely like yourself more for having tried. Good luck and God Bless!

Don't wait for the world to respond. I try to talk to ppl who seem lonely, just a casual hello and how everthing's going. It brightens up their day. You can't control other's actions, only yours. So don't worry about others and do this yourself, you will be enriched as well. And people around you will notice. Be a leader not a follower. Remember to the world you may be one person but to one person you may be the world.

Many people don't see your point but i am onw of the people that walk by the many lonely people standing by themselves. I feel bad for them and i wish there was something i could do to help them out and then one day i did. Just stopping to talk to one of those people can brighten there day and then leave you with the satifaction that you helped someone. That alone is enough to make me feel better as a person. It takes a true person to stand up and want to make our world a better and more tolerable place to live in.

Sorry but nobody died so I can live! I find it so ridiculous that some (not all) Christians think that because others don't have your belief that we are lonely; goes to show how some of you can be so narrow minded thinking there is nothing in the world without religion.

Not all people who are by themselves are lonely. I actually like a little time to myself now and again. Of course, I am not in school anymore.
Your idea is a good one. Come back and tell us how you tackle the problem and what the outcome is. It will be interesting!

Remember the song LET THERE BE PEACE ON EARTH AND LET IT BEGIN WITH ME. Well here is your Chance next time you see someone alone get them to join in with you and your group.. GOD sees us all the same. If we can't sit with someone who is different at lunch or walk down the hall with them at school then how are we going to live with them in heaven?

I used to just sit around listening to other people talking about people I didn't know and parties i never went to and i was soooo jealous.

It's great that you care and all but if you really did care you would have befriended that lonely person or alone person, but then some people are hard to get along with. All i know is that we can't help everyone but the one's we can help matter even if it's only one person
