and you can use other acids to make batteries but you just have to know which ones
(or just kinda stick with the lemon thing and some people figured out how to get more voltage out of these things)

A simple demonstration is to take a lemon and stick a strip of copper and another of zinc into it.

You could take some lead fishing weights and smash them flat. Suspend both into sulfuric acid solution (about 25%) careful, this burns. Then you could charge it up, and it will run a small light bulb.
