Generally, so guys can feel better about themselves if they were dumped. No, seriously, it's just another huge double standard. It's sad, I know, but it's just the way it works.
And I only think a girl (or guy) is a slut if they sleep around. It actually takes a lot to earn that title, in my opinion. People need to figure out what the words they use actually mean.

If that word was in the dictionary, it would be because all dictionaries are written by men...
The world is run by men... not necessarily all that well though.
Men are studs and girls are sl*ts. When they break up the guy calls the girl sl*t and any other name they can think of. While the girl usually cries and calls him a jerk...
Men are cruel...women usually not.
Its not right.... it's just the way it is...
If it was up to me...women would rule the world....men have totally screwed it up so far.

In my point of view - men are s l u t s when they move on so fast. But then again I kinda consider all men w h o r e s to some point. They don't tie in sex and emotion together the same way most women do.

because guys have that competitive thing going on. even if some don't admit it or even know it,..... they are playing a game, to see who can get the most girls. and they don't call each other a man whore. girls on the other hand we don't do that. and girls do call each other sluts. so, maybe if girls start seeing things like the guys and stop calling each other sluts. no one would be labeled that way.

Its called a double standard. And also slut was reserved for a girl who was promiscuous, not just one who changes boyfriends. It was still a double standard, because boys were not looked on in the same light.

I call both men and women sluts if they have sexual relations with someone so soon after a breakup. I also call them sluts when they sleep around with any and everyone. I don't discriminate. If a guy is a hoe then he's a hoe...same goes for a female.

Easy. Stereotypes and generalizations. If a guy has many sexual partners, he's a 'player'. That is the norm, but I don't go with the norm. Guys can be sluts as well.
