I read in a spiritual book that when you hate others you will get that back in a major scale. I have seen so much hatred on yahoo answered towards illegals and minories that make me think that what happened in 911 and all the young Inocent people who died in Iraq is the result of so much hatred in america. Many people shoot Ilegals aliens because they say they are invading their country. So other people have the right to shoot americans when americans invaded their county? It is funny how humans we get attached to a piece of land and we even fight for it like if that really belong to us and not the Goverment.
All those inocent people who went to fight for their country they didn't realized that the were just treated like little plastic soldiers who were killed by hundreds and what was the result of all that?

Iam not saying that all the people who died in 911 where people who had hatred what Iam trying to explaing is hatred as a whole. The mass make the individual and the individual make the mass. So If anyone of us we express hatred to others that will comeback to us in many forms. I truly believe in the law of Karma there is not cause without a consequense and a consequense without a cause.

Mike, I think if you continue to contemplate this question and don't settle for easy, simplistic answers, you will find some that will explain many, many things for you. I, myself, believe in karma, but it's not quite as simple as "eye for eye" -it's more about there being a deeper lesson involved, and the lesson you cause another, you yourself will have to learn somewhere along your path. And I happen to believe that path is a long one and includes many manifestations in the physical world. I also believe we experience all things, all states of being in order to understand them (and perhaps rid us of the ability or desire to judge each other.) And we are all more than an individual entity; we are part of many collectives-all our lessons are intertwined. See how it's not so simple?
Of the collective we call America-beautiful, noble (& pretty successful) experiment that it is, it-rather,we-have committed some grievious "sins" in the past, and she ain't perfect now. We still have much to learn. (But we have also brought light to the world in other ways and at the same time.) But I don't believe 9-11 was about punishment. I think it's about a change in paradigm that America, as well as the whole world, needs to make. Our current paradigm of life-and everthing in/about it-is based on fear: we are ruled by fear in countless ways, and we seek to manipulate and control others, our environment and the conditions of our lives by fear and our responses to things tend to come from a (concious or unconcious) state of fear. People who respond from fear or who try to control by fear are themselves afraid of something. Hatred is itself a fear response. Maybe when we eradicate the small acts of terrorism in our everday world (starting from within ourselves), the larger (and global) manifestations will cease to happen.
Also, whatever your spiritual beliefs, you may want to check out the Tarot. There is a card,"(Lightning Struck)Tower" in the Major Arcana of the deck. Look at the image, study the meaning. It may help you understand more of the deeper spiritual significance of events that threaten us or things precious to us (or so we think.)
Brings me to my last point (whew!): everything in the physical world-object or event (and even people?) -is a metaphor for something else. Study the metaphors of life-they are parables that can tell you much.

Wrong. How many people that died on 9/11 fit this characteristic? I'm sure some do, but most of them do not. They all weren't even Americans.
Children as young as 2 died in the September 11th terrorist attacks, please tell me what kind of hatred a 2 year old has?

When the WTC was attacked, I believe there were not just "hateful americans" in those towers. There were people of every background, race , and creed...all innocent. You're saying all those folks, americans and foreigners alike, deserved to die? Give me a break. Do you live in America? If so, do you feel guilty? Do you feel you should have been in one of those towers? Think about it.

No...
The Us is the by far the biggest contribute of Relief aide int he world, we help dozens other countries with food and resources.
How many illegal immigrants have been shot? can you provide proof?
Your spouting off inane babble with no proof, no evidence and no facts.
America is virtually one of the only countries where anyone can come to, retain their identity (socially, religiously and spiritually) and they are not punished for it. You think it is better in France where outsiders are sent to live in slums because they are not french? or in Iran where you are hung because you are gay, or whipped because you were raped?
You read a book on spirituality huh? well then you are familiar with the idea of opening ones mind? well guys what friend you better re-read that part and turn off al-jazeria TV while doing so.
Be grateful you live in America where this is the worst that could happen to you. other places try spouting off about the local government... then you would wish you were in the US.

so you're saying that a few thousand innocent civilians deserved to die in terrorist attacks because america doesn't like people? That's a little messed up, especially considering that america is constantly there whenever there's a tragedy anywhere in the world to provide people with basic needs. These same people who are taking our charity are the ones that want to stab us in the back when we turn around.

Who is shooting illegals? So far we're holding back and holding out hoping our politicians can reclaim our country diplomatically.
Unfortunately it appears you can't grasp the concept of honor and realizing that at times people put their lives on the line for others.

There are some people who think that America will suffer for what it is doing to other people just like in Afghanistan and Iraq.
